Faith in God Ministry (FIG) exists to restore people to wholeness through Kingdom order—reconciling individuals to God, strengthening families, and activating communities through love expressed in action.
The Bonnie Foundation is FIG’s hands extended into the community.
The Foundation is named in honor of Bonnie, the nickname of LaVerne Haygood, the beloved mother of LaJuanda Carter. LaVerne passed away on December 4, 2017, at the age of 71, leaving behind a legacy of leadership, compassion, and unwavering service to others.
Bonnie and LaJuanda shared more than a mother–daughter relationship—they were best friends. LaJuanda was her mother’s miracle baby, so named because Bonnie believed she could no longer bear children. That bond shaped a life of deep love, purpose, and calling.
Bonnie was a born leader, the second oldest of ten siblings, carrying responsibility early and modeling strength, wisdom, and care for others throughout her life. Her heart was always for the community—meeting needs quietly, serving selflessly, and leading without seeking recognition.
The Bonnie Foundation exists to carry that legacy forward. Under LaJuanda’s leadership as Director and Chairman of the Board, the Foundation fulfills Bonnie’s lifelong dream: meeting real needs with selfless love. Not for applause. Not for visibility. But in obedience—serving others as Bonnie did, with dignity and compassion.
Through The Bonnie Foundation, FIG moves beyond teaching into tangible impact.
This is where faith becomes visible.
Where compassion is organized.
Where the Kingdom is demonstrated—not merely spoken.
The Bonnie Foundation operates as FIG’s community-outreach arm, designed to:
Every initiative is grounded in the belief that people thrive when they are seen, supported, and empowered—not managed or marginalized.
Within FIG’s Kingdom framework, Phase 4 represents activation—the outward expression of reconciliation, healing, and preparation. The Bonnie Foundation is the embodiment of this phase: faith translated into service, love expressed through action, and purpose lived out in real time.
Plans are underway for a future brick-and-mortar location that will serve as a permanent hub for community support and resources. Until then, The Bonnie Foundation will operate through pop-up service locations, meeting needs where they exist and responding in real time to the community.
Our commitment begins right here—within our own community—and will expand as doors open and needs are revealed.
